Synthetic coolants are metalworking fluid concentrates that contain no mineral oil. When mixed with water, they form a clear fluid. Synthetics have excellent cooling properties and run very clean providing long life in the sump. Very effective for all grinding operations on all ferrous metals and alloys, especially for carbide grinding. It is also used for pressure leak testing. Readily soluble even in hard water. With no mineral oil the oil does not leave any sticky material on the job as well as the machine. Due to better detergency properties the chips are carried away from the operational point in no time to give best surface finish. The wheel is also flushed properly and does not need to dress it frequently. Due to the synthetic nature it provides better cooling properties, no offensive odour and longer bath life. In all a better, economical and effective grinding fluid.
